The materials are durable, weather-resistant and flexible, to protect and facilitate hand movements. The goatskin in the palm is the same sturdy material used in Hestra’s popular Heli Ski model, while the backhand is made from stretch fabric. A removable fleece liner with warm synthetic insulation keeps small hands warm when the cold bites. The liner is easy to dry after a day’s skiing, or to wash when dirty. The cuff is short and flexible, and can be adjusted with Velcro to stay securely in place. A wrist strap is also included to reduce the risk of losing a glove, for example on a ski lift. Hestra's Army Leather Heli Ski was originally created for ski guides in western Canada who needed a reliable and warm ski glove for long, cold days in the snow. This 5-finger women's glove has a slimmer cut to fit women's narrower hands but is sewn in the same hardwearing, weather-resistant combination of goatskin leather and 3-layer polyamide fabric as the men's version. A range of smart functions come in handy when you can't head indoors to warm up that often. For example, the liner is easy to remove and dry, or replace with a thinner inner glove when hiking uphill. In powder snow, the long cuff with snowlock and wrist adjustment keep the snow on the outside. A wrist strap reduces the risk of dropping a glove if you take it off to adjust your equipment or use your phone. It has the same Heli Ski long, wide cuff with a snowlock that efficiently keeps the cold out when playing in snowdrifts and powder. Elastic around the wrist makes for a secure, comfortable fit with no need for adjustment, making the mitten extra easy for children to use. The backhand is made in flexible polyamide fabric that protects from wind and weather while ventilating moisture out. Treated goatskin on palm for stable grip. The fleece liner is removable and insulated with G-Loft synthetic insulation to keep fingers warm in cold weather. Edward is a classic men’s glove, sewn by hand in supple lamb nappa from quality Italian tanneries. The fit is close-fitting with decorative stitching that gives extra room for movement as well as adding a subtle touch of style.
